It helps give you better opportunities, sets you apart from electricians who aren’t in the union, and gives you the edge needed for higher certification and better pay.
The Electrical Industry Training Centres of Alberta is an initiative of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 424 and the Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA). We are an internationally recognized leader in electrical theory and practical training.
Our vision is to enhance the competitiveness of the unionized electrical contractor and to enhance the employability of the unionized electrical worker. The Electrical Industry Training Centre strives to provide beneficiaries with a progressive, innovative and student-focused range of practical and theoretical courses.
The Training Centre has built upon its core strength of mentoring students through “hands-on” applications of basics safety, work practices and technical skills that are essential on the worksite.
All training is funded by the Electrical Industry Education Trust Fund of Alberta.
