Electrical Tuition Reimbursement Process

Criteria & Process for Application

******* You must have completed Apprenticeship Training, Supplementary Training and have all supporting documentation (Official Tuition Receipt & 2 page Completion Letter from AIT) prior to submitting this form. *******

Failure to do so will result in the rejection of your Reimbursement Application

Prior to registering for outside training, contact EITCA to find out your eligibility status and familiarize yourself with the Supplementary Training Requirements for the Apprenticeship year you will be applying for.

You must be eligible for Education Trust Fund Benefits at the time of commencement of Apprenticeship Training. OUT OF TOWN RESIDENTS, CONTACT EITCA FOR A SEPARATE FORM. 

Upon successful completion of Apprenticeship Training AND Required Supplementary Training, complete the online submission form below. You have 12 months from the completion date of apprenticeship training to submit your tuition reimbursement information.

After 12 months, you must appeal to the Board of Trustees c/o The Electrical Training Centre:

Completing the Online Form

***You will need to include your IBEW 424 membership number, if you do not know it, contact EITCA. 

All fields with * are required.

Do not type any of the following characters in the below fields with the exception of DOB and Phone:  ~, #, %, & , *, {, }, , :, <, >, ?, /, |, “

Please note the required format for the following fields must be:

• DOB: mm/dd/yyyy (numerical ie. 8/29/1970)
• Phone:  xxx-xxx-xxxx

After you click SUBMIT, scroll up to the top of the window to view the green status bar indicating your form "was submitted successfully"

You must upload digital attachments (photos, screenshot, pdf) of both the official tuition receipt (NOT Credit Card Receipt) and record of successful completion of Apprenticeship Training (Branch Marks from the Apprenticeship Board).

 Additional Requirements

You must have also successfully completed the required Supplementary Training that corresponds with your Apprenticeship year BEFORE completing the online form. Supplementary training must be taken 12 months prior to and or 6 months after the Apprenticeship Training completion date.  

Failure to have completed required supplementary training prior to for submission will result in your application being rejected. 

Apprenticeship Year	Requirements
1st Year	Conduit Bending
2nd Year	Conduit Bending OR 2nd year who has Conduit Bending 16 hrs of in-house technical training
3rd Year	16 hrs of in-house technical training
4th Year	16 hrs of in-house technical training

Applicants must agree to repay the financial assistance to the Trust Fund, if they do not maintain IBEW membership for five years after receipt of the assistance.  

You will be able to use a computer or handheld devices to complete the online forms, photos of certificate and receipt can be attached from your device photo library.  Tablets will be available at the Training Centres and assistance will be available if required during business hours Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
