COURSE OBJECTIVE
During this 8-week, traditional instructor led program, participants will benefit from plenty of hands-on technical training and develop basic skill and strategies important in apprenticeship training - Theory (AC Circuits, RLC Circuits, Power Factor Correction), Code (Apartment Buildings, Capacitor Banks), and Lab work.
Students will gain the knowledge to effectively navigate and interpret the Canadian Electrical Code Book, analyze electrical circuits and equipment, troubleshoot electrical circuits and components, and read & interpret Blueprints.
You can also expect to receive training in Motor Controls, Heating and Cooling systems ( Furnace/AC Units, Hot Water Heating Systems etc..), and proven electrical theories with calculations and hands on wiring.
Upon successful completion of the 8-week program students will be required to write the Provincial Branch Exam, and perform a 4-hour Skills Evaluation hosted by the EITCA, in order to receive tuition reimbursement.
