This course is available to IBEW 424 members who are eligible for Education Benefits.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
Gain knowledge of solid state motor control specifically related to Variable Frequency Drives through a balanced combination of lecture, open discussions and, hands-on labs.
The course focuses on:
- motor control options
- understanding VFD and it’s major components
- common VFD applications
- wiring
- control
- operational concepts
- programming
- basics for commissioning and start up
